Hillsborough County Republicans collecting school supplies

Hillsborough Republicans are currently collecting back-to-school supplies and backpacks for Hillsborough County K-12 students to underscore the importance of a great start to the new school year. Items collected will be donated to the Hillsborough Education Foundation to be distributed to students.

“Education is the key to opportunity, and we are the party of opportunity,” Deborah Tamargo, chair of the local Hillsborough County Republican executive committee, said. “That is why we know it is so important to help our students be prepared to do their best.”

Anyone who wishes to participate may drop off supplies at the Hillsborough County Republican Party Headquarters, 5118 N. 56th Street, Suite 115, Tampa (call before coming), or at the next HCRP meeting, Aug. 18, at MOSI, where the Hillsborough Education Foundation will be set up to receive them. The Hillsborough Education Foundation will collect items or checks between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
