Hillsborough Fire Rescue extinguishes Dover kitchen fire

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Engine 23 successfully contained and extinguished a house fire today, according to HCFR officials.

The home at 5106 W. Trapnell Road experienced a kitchen fire, confirmed to have been caused by unattended cooking, which produced heavy smoke and flames by the time HCFR arrived at the scene. Firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained to the kitchen and evacuate all occupants from the building.

Only one occupant was injured, but none of the injuries were related to the fire. American Red Cross was sent to help the occupants while they are displaced.
