Jacob Fortune was presented the Sons of the American Revolution Award for excellence in American History.
The award goes to a junior male student who excels and has a passion for history. The award winner is selected by the History Department of Plant City High School.
Dr. Don Humphrey represented the Major John Devane Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution of Plant City and presented the award to Jacob on the Plant City High School morning television news. Jacob received a personalized medal and certificate.
The purpose of the award is to promote patriotism, American History and community service.
