The Plant City Police Department and Plant City Fire Rescue responded to fire in an abandoned home April 9.
It took responders 30 minutes to put the fire out at the home at 1308 N. Shannon Ave. Heavy lift equipment was dispatched to remove the collapsed metal roof. Responders ran a check for occupants, and the State Fire Marshall is conducting an investigation.
