Eight members of Hope Lutheran Church participated in a day long training April 28, to become certified as early responders in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.
The training was done through The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Disaster Response. The Hope members are now a part of Lutheran Early Response Team and can assist anywhere that Lutheran Disaster Response needs assistance.
“While we have received this specialized training to assist in the event of a disaster, it is a training that we pray we never need to put into action, either here in Plant City or anywhere, for that matter,” says the Rev. Dean Pfeffer. “But if we do, we thank God that we have the training and the skills to help those in need and bring the comfort of the gospel along with willing hands to help.”
