The pharmacy has opened on Alexander Street .
A new pharmacy has opened n the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World.
Humana Inc. opened the retail Humana Pharmacy this week at 228 W. Alexander St.
The pharmacy will provide clinical care to members of Humana Medical Advantage members, and Plant City's Continucare medical center patients. A full-service pharmacy and physican's office have been put together to improve patient care and communication. Prescription issues will be able to be addressed on site by the physician before a patient leaves.
The new facility is one of six Humana pharmacies that are set to open in the next several months, with four in Florida. The state has about 1 million Medicare members. The other two Humana facilities are set to open in Texas.
The new Humana Pharmacy will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
