HURRICANE HELENE DIDN’T STOP OKTOBERFEST

Despite the damage done to Plant City by Hurricane Helene on September 25 and 26, the skies were clear for the third annual Oktoberfest in Historic Downtown Plant City. When the event, hosted by Historic Plant City Main Street, began at 3 p.m. on September 28, there were already hundreds of people in the streets—and a good time was had by all, eating, drinking, playing, shopping, and listening to German-style music.

“We were blessed to have hosted another successful Oktoberfest event for our Plant City community and visitors, especially after such a devastating storm,” Dawn Hyatt, Executive Director of Historic Plant City Main Street said. “We thank everyone who sponsored and volunteered to make it happen. We are continuing to pray for those impacted by Helene.”
