Three Plant City-area seniors received $1,000 scholarships through Jarrett Scott Ford and the Ford Motor Company’s Built Ford Tough FFA Scholarship Program.
Plant City High School’s Lindsey Farkas, Strawberry Crest’s Abigail Jett and Durant High School’s Jerri Rowell each will receive a scholarship.
Farkas plans to study at Hillsborough Community College. Her parents are Larry and Jamie Farkas, of Plant City.
Jett will study agricultural communications at Hillsborough Community College. Her parents are Edward and Jolee Jett, of Dover.
Rowell will study animal nutrition at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at the University of Georgia. Rowell’s parents are Mark and Stacy Rowell, of Plant City.
The scholarships are among the 530 awarded by Ford to FFA members who are either high-school seniors planning to attend college or current collegiate students.
