KW agents help at food bank

Every year, the second Thursday of May is “Red Day,” renew, energize, donate, at all Keller Williams Realty offices. In Plant City, nine agents converged on the United Food Bank to help process the over 40,000 pounds of food received during the recent annual Mail Carrier Food Drive.

Marking cans and boxes with expiration dates and sorting all kinds of groceries onto shelves, the agents processed two, huge pallets of food, working hard to give back to their community.

Agents received a tour of the bank, an update by Executive Director Christine Miller, and also donated one large wood desk, kitchen table and chairs set, plus a 6-foot bulletin board to the United Food Bank.

The local food bank always needs food and monetary donations to help “feed the needy not the greedy.” For more information, visit UFBPC.org.
