Anyone looking for an upscale apartment in Plant City won’t have to look hard anymore.
Lakehouse Luxury Apartments, at 3003 S. Frontage Road, is getting ready to open its doors June 1 and show residents of the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World how they can live in luxury without buying a big home.
“It’s going to be a place where people can come home and relax,” property director Brenda Rodriguez says. “A relaxing place, yet it’s luxury.”
Although the leasing office isn’t officially opening until next month, Rodriguez has released the details of what prospective renters can expect from this community.
All but 12 of the units will be located on the community’s lakefront, and many of them will be designated as non-smoking buildings. There are 60 one-bedroom and 60 two-bedroom apartment units available, as well as five three-bedroom townhomes that are available for renting only. Renting cost runs from $900 to $1,700 per month, with leasing terms that run from seven to 24 months.
The gated community’s most publicized feature has been its lakefront area, which includes a dock, several fishing areas and fish cleaning stations, grill and picnic areas and a fire pit. It will also feature a spa, a fitness center, a dog park and more.
The units will come furnished with dishwashers, garbage disposals, microwaves, washer and dryer units, and each has a screened-in balcony. Pets are allowed to live in the units.

PLANTATION AT WALDEN LAKE
Lakehouse Luxury Apartments isn’t the only community offering something new in Plant City, as another apartment complex in town has made some changes.
What was formerly called Hunters Ridge is now Plantation at Walden Lake. Beyond the name change, Plantation has also given its buildings a fresh coat of paint and new flooring inside.
The community has one, two and three-bedroom units available for rent, starting at $720 for the 556-square foot Magnolia one-bedroom units, and each comes fully furnished with appliances. The community itself has a pool, tennis court, business center, spa and more.
