A Dover man is in critical condition after he collided with a car Thursday, Feb. 12.
At 10:30 p.m., Alicia Gomez-Montejo, 22, of Dover, was traveling north on Sydney Dover Road when she slowed and attempted to turn left into the driveway at 3226 Sydney Dover Road in her 2005 Nissan Altima. Jerome Townsley, 50, was traveling south on Sydney Dover Road on his 2003 Honda motor scooter at about 30 mph.
Montejo failed to see Townsley and struck him while she was turning left with the front of her vehicle. Townsley’s headlight was not illuminated at the time of the crash and he was not wearing a helmet.
Townsley was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
