Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered a dead man in the lake of Edward Medard Park on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Deputies, along with the Marine Unit and Dive Team, responded to a call about an abandoned boat in the area. The man found by deputies was seen launching the boat between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.
The man has been identified but next of kin has not yet been notified, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
