The Plant City Chamber is once again hosting a forum for candidates running for election that will have an impact locally. This premier election event allows voters to meet candidates for all elected positions, from Congress to the county commission. This is an opportunity for candidates to tell their stories to community members before primary voting. Candidates deemed qualified by the Supervisor of Elections will be invited to participate in the event.
The event will be held on August 6, in the TECO Expo hall at the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds, 2301 W. Oak Ave from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Early voting runs from August 5 – 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can vote in person or drop off your Vote By Mail ballot at any of the Early Voting locations during this time. Election Day is August 20, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. To vote in person on Election Day, you must vote in the polling place assigned to your precinct.
There will be a straw poll for offices on the 2024 ballot held during the event.
