Walden Lake Community Association’s annual meeting was held Thursday, April 9, and the three open board positions were filled.
Jan Griffin was reelected for another term. The two new directors are Dan Orrico and Dave Sollenberger. Orrico is a retired U.S. Army colonel, and Sollenberger is a former city manager for Plant City.
Earlier this year, after former president Jim Chancey resigned, the board tried to fill the empty position and asked any residents who were interested to submit applications. They eventually narrowed it down to two applicants: Orrico and Sollenberger. But because they reached a deadlock on the vote, they chose to operate with just eight directors until the annual meeting and election.
