PLANT CITY CHRISTMAS PARADE

Santa Claus is coming to town this Friday, December 6 for the annual Plant City Christmas Parade. As many believers wait for Mr. and Mrs. Claus to ride by in their sleigh led by reindeer, 74 other floats, marching bands, local businesses, and more will show their holiday cheer as they also participate in the parade. The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the corner of Alsobrook and Collins Street. Road closures in Plant City and surrounding areas of the parade will start at 5:00 p.m. The Plant City Police Department will manage traffic. The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Lane Wetherington, the founder of Christmas Lane! 2024 PROPERTY TAX
PROCESS UPDATE

Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan is reminding property owners about critical updates to the 2024 property tax process, which includes extended deadlines and early payment opportunities to assist residents recovering from the impact of Hurricanes Milton and Helene. Delayed Mailing of Tax Notices: Property and tangible tax notices, typically sent out on November 1, were mailed on November 25. This adjustment ensures property owners have adequate time to plan and make payments. The 4 percent early payment discount is extended through December 31. This extension gives property owners additional time to maximize savings. Payments can still be made at any time, despite the delayed mailing. The 2024 tax bills reflect property values assessed as of January 1, 2024. Damage caused by Hurricanes Helene or Milton will not be reflected in this year’s assessments. For more details about property taxes, payment options, or available resources, visit hillstax.org or contact the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office directly.
