City Pointe celebrates first Easter Sunday in new building

It was a special day for City Pointe Church, which held its first major holiday service in its new building that morning. Guests new and familiar were served cookies and coffee, mingled after an egg hunt for the kids and got to check out the new additions and touches City Pointe made to the building to call it their own before the service began.

City Pointe moved into the old First Baptist Church of Plant City building, 503 N. Palmer St., in March and held its first service on March 18.

Kerry Inc. adopts Brewer Park as environmental project

“The Kerry volunteers did a fantastic job at the park and we really appreciate their effort,” Recreation and Parks Director Jack Holland said in a news release. “Kerry is setting a worthy example for our community and helping keep our city a great place to work, live and play. We look forward to Kerry’s future involvement with our park system.”

On March 26, employees made their very first trip to the park and collected 54 pounds of trash in an hour and a half. The team will do their next clean-up on May 21.

“It feels great to give back to our little town as we’ve been a part of the Plant City manufacturing community for 63 years”, Susie Brown, Plant Manager of the facility, said.
