Michael Ernest Hare Sr.

In Loving Memory of Michael Ernest Hare Sr.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Ernest Hare Sr., who left us on Jan. 29, 2025. Michael was born Jan. 11, 1952, and raised in Dover, Fla., the proud son of a strawberry farmer, where he inherited a deep love for the land and a strong work ethic. He continued the family tradition in agriculture, dedicating his life to cultivating the earth and nurturing the crops that sustained his family and community.
Michael loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was a casual gathering, a family meal, or a holiday celebration, he found immense joy in their company and was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael had a true passion for woodworking. He found joy in creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces that filled homes with comfort, warmth, and love. Whether it was a piece of furniture, a small project, or something special for a loved one, he poured his heart into every creation, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will be treasured for years to come.
A lover of the outdoors, Michael reveled in the sun and spent many hours basking in its warmth, whether working on the farm, tending to his projects, or simply enjoying his time by the pool. His love for life, the outdoors, and his family shone through in everything he did.
Michael is survived by his be-loved wife, Cyndi Hare; his children, Stephen Hare, Zenaida (Dale) Hunter, Michael (Nikki) Hare Jr., and Teresa (Sean Smith) Hare; and his grandchildren, Evan Hunter, Alessandra Hunter, Sean Smith Jr., Dean Smith, and Beau Hunter. He is also survived by his sister, Lila Hare-Greene, and his brother, Clifford Hare.
He is preceded in death by his son Eric G. Hare, his parents Herbert and Teresa Hare, and his brother, Porter Hare.
Michael will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and creativity will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A private memorial service will be held in his honor.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
