Gary Victor Klatt, 82, passed peacefully at home on Aug. 6, 2024.
He was born in Trilby, Ohio. He was preceded in death by parents Walter H. Klatt and Lillian Berman Klatt, brother Jerry Klatt. Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Jan Harnage Klatt, daughters Heidi M. Bryce and Sonia L. Jenkins, grandchildren Katie and Ian Bryce, Travis Jenkins (Morgan) and Thomas Jenkins (Ashlee), great grandchildren Barrett, Brenna, Brice and Thomas Jenkins. Twin girls will be born in October.
Gary earned his industrial Engineer degree from the University of Florida. He received his degree in Meteorology from the University of Washington. He served in the United States Air Force as Captain with a Commission.
Gary was active enjoying golfing, basketball, bowling, bridge, boating, chess and spending time with his grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Jasper, GA, at his request.

Betty S. Jeffries
Betty S. Jeffries was born in Plant City, Fla. on June 22, 1932, and lived here most of her life. She went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2024, at the age of 92. She was a beautiful and loving mother, grandmother (Nana & Mam), great-grandmother (Gigi), sister and aunt. Her favorite things were spending time with her family, sisters and brother, holidays, birthday celebrations, beach and mountain trips and cooking (she was an amazing cook).
Her inner strength and faith in the Lord kept her family strong. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed!
She is survived by her children Sharon Jeffries, Susan Harkala (Charles) and Cindy Kilgore. Her grandchildren Jonathan Harkala,(Ansley), Jordan Harkala, Casey Clark and Christopher Clark. Great-grandchildren Ella Grace, Ava Joyce and Josiah Harkala, her sisters Jeanette Belisle, Gloria Ann Day, Mary Francis Hiott and brother Johnny Sloan, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her late husband James Reid Jeffries, Sr. and son James Reid Jeffries, Jr.
Her Memorial Services were held July 26, 2024.
