In memory of Erwin R. Nesvacil, born Nov. 28, 1948, in Chicago, IL, peacefully passed away on Nov. 9, 2023 in Plant City, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maureen (nee McGrath), sons Rob (Carol) & Jay (Katie), grandchildren Clara, Zach, Josh, and Tommy, and brothers Michael & Jerry. Preceded in death by parents Henry and Donna Nesvacil (nee Lindstrom). Erwin devoted himself to service as a Stephen Minister, super-volunteer at First United Methodist Church of Plant City, Boy Scout leader & District Manager with Three Fires Council of Illinois. He also volunteered for numerous Habitat for Humanity builds, disaster relief groups throughout America, and 4 trips to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake to help rebuild homes and schools. A 1970 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Erwin worked for Chicago real estate developers, the State of Illinois, and held CPA, real estate, and brokerage licenses. Known
for his dry wit, handyman skills, and colorful socks, Erwin leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for January. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the First United Methodist Church, 303 N Evers St, Plant City, FL 33563 & Memo ‘2023 Wish List’.
