Sara C. Bender, 39, of Plant City, born on June 4, 1980 in Lakeland, entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2020.
She was a seventh-generation Floridian, a graduate of Plant City High School, a member of the National Honor Society, earned State and American FFA degrees and won the Gold Medal in the Slalom in the Special Olympics. She will be remembered for her smile and laughter.
She is survived by her parents, Chris and Jane Bender of Plant City; brother, William Bender (Betty); nephews, Angel Howard, and Austin Bender; grandmother, Sara “Sally” Bradley of Plant City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Inurnment at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
