McGrath, Louis White
McGrath, Louis White, born Aug. 18, 1950, passed away May 16, 2024, in Plant City, Fla. He was the youngest son of Leslie “Mac” McGrath and Hester McGrath. Lou’s oldest brother, Les (Mona) survives him. Lou is also survived by his son, Mac, and daughter-in-law Geselle; and his cherished grand twins, Asher and Nahlia. Lou was a loving father and “Papa” to many, and an extraordinary storyteller and Plant City historian who never met a stranger. Lou was a Realtor who loved all things real estate, beginning his career in the early 1970s with Hazel Downs, later joining with Dave McCarthy in the management of a local ERA franchise, before opening Lou McGrath Realty. With many ventures, and adventures along the way, he and his friend and mentor, Tommy Poppell, launched McGrath Poppell and Company, now owned by Lou’s son, Mac. With his sense of humor and infectious laugh, Lou was loved by many and will be missed by the countless lives he touched during his remarkable journey through life, R.I.P. Lou. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Hillsborough County Cattlemen’s Association, 6404 South County Road 39, Plant City.

Harold Richard (Dick) Gray
Harold Richard (Dick) Gray, 83, was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan. Harold graduated in1958 from Cooley High School and departed this life to join his Lord and Savior on Apr. 28, 2024. After graduation he moved to Plant City, Fla., to be with his grandfather, Charles J. Goddard and worked for Tampa Electric Company for over 41 years as a Drafting Engineer before becoming an Engineer Instructor. He was a faithful supporter of law enforcement and was extremely proud of the 34 years he volunteered as a Reserve II Deputy, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant. He is survived by Naomi Cooper Gray, wife of almost 63 years; his son, Harold Richard (Rick) Gray, Jr., wife Dena, and granddaughters Lauren and Lindsey Gray. The Family will be holding a private ceremony per his wishes.
