Bryan “Bill” Varn, 94, of Plant City, and formerly of Parlin, New Jersey, died March 30, 2015.
He was born in Durant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines, having served in WWII. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Assembly of God.
He is survived by his children, Annette Craven (Neal), Mary Hawke and William Varn (Theresa); siblings, Aaron Varn (Cecile) and Fredrick Varn (Celita); grandchildren, Sherry Taylor, Richard Marciante (Dana), Bryan Marciante (Shannon) and Ian Hawke (Nicole); and seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Belle Varn.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. April 3, at Hopewell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at HopewellFuneral.com.
