Charles Clinton Rippy, 66, died March 28, 2015.
He was born in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois, and moved to Florida 64 years ago. Mr. Rippy worked for many years as a air conditioning mechanic for Payne Air Conditioning. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1972. He was a member of First Baptist Church Midway. He also enjoyed going fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beverly; sons, Steven Katie Rippy, of Corinth, Michael Jenifer Rippy, of Plant City; daughter, Allison Pate, of Lakeland; brother, Ronnie Rippy, of Live Oak; sister, Janice Griffin, of Orlando; grandchildren, Jessica Holley, Joshua Thompson, Abigail Rippy, Ethan Rippy, Ava Rippy, Kaylee Pate, Adalyne Rippy and Isley Rippy; great grandson, Brantlee Hendrick. Chuck was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Rippy.
