He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Drake Caldwell; son-in-law, Danny Ray Caldwell; his grandson, Christopher Drake Simmermon (Samantha); two great-grandchildren, Christopher Drake Simmermon Jr. and Rowyn Simmermon; his nephew, Joseph M. Harper (Sue); and great-niece, Melinda.
