Obituary: Earl Rogers

Earl Rogers, 76, of Plant City, died June 27, 2014.

Born July 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Eddie Elmer and Amy Knight Rogers. 

Mr. Rogers was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam. He loved baseball, softball, wood working and collecting case knives.

He was the beloved husband of Carol Cameron Rogers, who survives. Other survivors Include sons, Terry Neil Rogers, Gregory Allen Rogers (Jane), Kenneth Scott Rogers (Becky) and Mark Anthony Rogers; brothers, Elmer Rogers, Ennis Rogers and Jerry Rogers; sisters, Jean Carlisle and Ann Kent; and 10 grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by son, Steven Earl Rogers; and sister, Nita Peacock. 

The family received friends July 2, at Countryside Baptist Church, in Dover. The memorial service followed. If so desired, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
