Edward E. Thompson
Edward E. Thompson, 98 of Lakeland, died Nov. 29, 2015.
A native of Ireland, he was the son of Robert and Margaret Louise Thompson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and attended First Baptist Church. He loved gardening, roses, fishing and antique and clock collecting.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Morgan Thompson; stepson, Thomas Lambert (Nancy); stepdaughters, Glenda Marin, Nelma Dawson and Lori Friend (Billy); eight step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Haught Funeral Home.
