Gilbert “Gil” John Allison, 79, of Plant City, died May 5, 2015.
Born in Salem, Ohio, and a former resident of Tampa, Mr. Allison served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from GTE Florida in 1990.
Loving family who survive are his wife of 57 years, Margaret “Peg” Allison; son, Thomas G. Allison; daughters, Catherine “Katy” Allison and Mary Frances “Fran” Lavandera (Hank); and grandson, Joseph F. Lavandera. He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine T. Allison; and four siblings.
A visitation was held May 7, at Wells Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held May 8, at St. Clement Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to My Brother’s Keeper at St. Clement Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made at WellsMemorial.com.
