Janis Aaron, of Plant City, died July 30, 2014, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She will be missed dearly.
Born Oct. 18, 1947, she was one of seven children born to the late Burke T. and Ruth Lillian “RL” Lay.
She is survived by her brothers, Kent and Keith Lay; sisters, Karen Hunt, Michelle Walker and Patrice Toole; children, Laan Lay-Cruickshank, Julie Van Gorden-Pitt, Robert Aaron, Douglas and Leah Aaron; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and countless other friends and family.
A memorial service was held Aug. 17, at the Women’s Center, 1110 N. Wheeler St. Plant City.
