Lewis Franklin Belof, 80, of Lithia, and formerly of Bloomfield and Pompton Plains, New Jersey, died Sept. 16, 2015.
Mr. Belof was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania to the late Adolf and Natalie Belof. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the New Jersey Insititute of Technology and held a master’s of business administration from Rutgers University. He worked as an information systems executive with American Cyanamid (Lederle Labs) for over 30 years. His immense love for his family and his Lord was evident to all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Wackenhuth Belof.
He is survived by his children, Dr. Dawn N. Belof-Ganter (Frederick), of Tampa, Stephen W. Belof (Suzanne), of Ft. Myers, Dr. Beth J. Belof-Jasko (Daniel), of Valrico, Dr. Jonathan L. Belof (Margarita), of San Ramon, California, and Dr. Joshua D. Belof (Elizabeth), of Apollo Beach; grandchildren, Isabella Belof, Sarah Belof, Adam Belof, Jaclyn Ganter, Nathaniel Jasko, Elena Belof, Emma Jasko and Hannah Belof; and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life was held Sept. 22 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. A committal followed at Hopewell Memorial Gardens in Plant City.
