Luther Roney, 81, of Thonotosassa died May 15, 2014.
Born March 7, 1933, he was the beloved husband of Barbara Cooper Roney, who survives.
Mr. Roney was a member of the First Thonotosassa Missionary Baptist Church and worked for H.J. Roney Construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors also include daughters, Freda Infinger (Jeff), Rita Greco (Joe), Nita Safrit (Todd) and Carolyn Thurman (Charles); sister, Ruby Papin (Paul); 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Roney.
A funeral service was held May 17, at Haught Funeral Home Chapel, Plant City.
