Mattie Esther Gentry, 93, of Plant City, and formerly of Cookeville, Tennessee, died Sept. 2, 2015.
Mrs. Gentry is survived by her son, Jerry Gentry (Laverne), of Sydney; sister, Mae Stanley, of Plant City; and many grandchildren and other family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Winfred Talmadge Gentry; and sons, Howard and David Gentry.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, Sept. 5, at Hopewell Funeral Home in Plant City. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Judd Cemetery in Baxter, Tennessee, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, 532 4th St., Baxter.
