Norberto “Bob” Hernandez, 90, of Plant City, died July 20, 2015.
Mr. Hernandez was a career United States Army serviceman, having served his country in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He and his wife of 65 years, Della, moved to Plant City in 1996. He loved spending time with family, was an avid golfer and also enjoyed all sports activities.
He is survived by his wife, Della; children, Tony, Robert, Edna and Marcella; and numerous grandchildren.
The family received friends on Friday, July 24, at Hopewell Funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Fort Sam National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33612.
