Raymond C. Holbrook Sr., 88, of Lakeland, died May 26, 2015.
Mr. Holbrook was born in Frostproof, Florida. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was employed by Suburban as a heating and A/C technician for 32 years, and at Imperial Auto Auction for 17 years. Mr. Holbrook was a charter member at Faith Temple Assembly of God. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He will be remembered for his humor and compassion for people; he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan Holbrook; and his sons, Bruce Holbrook and Raymond Holbrook Jr., and their families.
The family received friends May 29 at Hopewell Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors followed at Hopewell Memorial Gardens.
