Waneda S. Brownlow, 66, of Valrico, died Aug. 24, 2014.
She and her late husband, H. Lamar Brownlow, pastored churches in Alabama, Louisiana and Florida, and she was a missionary in Honduras, Panama, Mexico, Italy, Russia and Africa. She was affectionately known as “The Happy Missionary.”
She is survived by her children, Mary Colon, of Valrico, LTC Travis Brownlow (U.S. Air Force), of Alexandria, Va., and Philip Brownlow, of Plant City; brothers, Richard Scott and Randy Scott, of Birmingham, Ala.; five grandchildren; and many other family and friends around the world.
A celebration of life was held Aug. 27, at Plant City Church of God. Interment followed at Hopewell Memorial Gardens.
