On Friday, Sept. 3, Michael Todd Dilts, 46, of Seffner, was traveling westbound on Interstate 4 west of Thonotosassa Road when he lost control of his motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit a tractor trailer driven by Peter Solunac, 42, of Northport. Dilts, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from his motorcycle. He sustained fatal injuries.
Solunac, who was not injured, brought the trailer to a full stop.
Responding officers from Florida Highway Patrol say that alcohol was not involved in the crash.
