Plant City High multi-sport athlete Drew Knotts's hard work paid off on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Knotts, a senior, accepted the Swope Rodante Vanguard December Player of the Month award, which included a $1,000 payout to the high school's athletic department. The award is given monthly to Hillsborough County student-athletes who demonstrate leadership qualities on and off the playing field.
When not cheerleading or playing soccer and flag football for the Lady Raiders, Knotts volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House, Civinettes Club, Special Olympics, the Raider Buddies program and as a tutor. She is also President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club, and holds a 4.48 GPA.
