Plant City police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Friday morning.
PCPD said it received a 911 call around 1:49 a.m. reporting a shooting with an injury. Police arrived at the 1800 block of East Alabama Street and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Plant City Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and took the victim to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
