Manager Johnie Goodson says hitting the ball will be his team’s strong suit, and he has an idea of who could have a breakout series.
“I think Blake Emerine, he’s going to be one of our top players out here,” Goodson said. “He’s probably going to be our leadoff hitter. He’s a fast kid, so he’s probably going to score some runs.”
Although the 9-10 tournament ended Thursday, June 23, with the B team going through the consolation bracket following a loss to Haines City, this squad was just glad to keep doing what it loves.
“Hopefully, we can get out there and win a few baseball games,” Goodson said. “But as long as we’re out there playing, we’re going to have fun.”
