The Strawberry Youth Parade offers local children the opportunity to be honored in a festive event of their own.
Floats, marching bands, churches and pageant queens headed down the streets of Plant City Saturday morning in the annual parade that began at the State Farmers Market and dispersed just past the Florida Strawberry Festival.
This year the parade was led by Grand Marshal Katelyn Yarbrough, a senior at Plant City High School with an impressive academic history and numerous civic engagements.
The youth parade is filled with local children from tiny toddlers waving from their church float to middle schoolers and high schoolers showing off their crowns and marching band skills.
