The 40th annual Pioneer Heritage Day combined local vendors with live entertainment. The event was Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 1914 Plant City High School Community Center, 605 North Collins Street.
There were food and craft vendors, pioneer exhibits and the museum was open for the community to peruse. On top of heritage demonstration there was clogging, dancing and singing. Alumni from Turkey Creek High School shared their archives collection of the school’s history.
The Plant City Garden Club hosted the annual juried flower show and guests voted on their favorite design. Those who’s descendants have lived in Eastern Hillsborough County for 100 years or more were eligible for a Pioneer Certificate.
