Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office seized more than 100 marijuana plants and about 14 pounds of loose marijuana Oct. 9, at a Thonotosassa grow house.
Working off a Crime Stoppers tip, Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Christopher Dean Raulerson, 49, and charged him with cultivation of marijuana,possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives in the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Investigation Division and Tactical Intelligence Team, along with Patrol District 2 deputies, responded to 11902 N. Grovewood Ave., in Thonotosassa, after an anonymous tipster contacted Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay and gave details of a marijuana grow operation inside a residential home.
Detectives obtained consent to search the residence and located two rooms converted for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana, reports stated. Detectives seized one hundred and two (102) marijuana plants, as well as loose marijuana, which totaled 13.9 pounds. Also sized were high-powered sodium grow lights and ballasts.
The street value of the marijuana is about $14,000. Raulerson was booked into the Orient Road Jail.
