Runners in the third grade through the eighth grade competed in Friday afternoon’s Central Florida Charter Athletic League Championships at Ellis-Methvin Park.
While the majority of the schools at the event were from Valrico, or the Tampa area, Plant City was represented by Shiloh Charter School and Advantage Academy of Hillsborough. The meet was made up of three races: the two-mile for middle school girls, the two-mile for middle school boys, and the one-mile for elementary school boys and girls.
To wrap up the season, the state qualifier will be held October 25 at the Dover Horse Trails.
