Some remakes of music’s favorite groups hit the stage Saturday, March 12, as part of the 2016 Lip Sync Dance Party.
The event, presented by Art Meets Entertainment Productions, hosted the event at the John R. Trinkle Center on the Hillsborough Community College campus. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Plant City Community Development Corp.
The organization helps provide affordable housing in Plant City, and is specifically focused on housing initiatives to stabilize the four neighborhoods outside of Plant City’s Midtown.
The set on March 12 included impersonations and lip syncs of many famous groups, including ABBA, the Sugarhill Gang, Aretha Franklin, John Legend and Meghan Trainor.
