Durant High School's criminal justice program doesn't hesitate to honor local law enforcement.
The program hosted its annual Breakfast for Heroes event on Wednesday, April 19, bringing students together with personnel from the Plant City Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Florida Strawberry Festival Security Director Tim Lovett, an alumni of both agencies, was the keynote speaker.
Twenty-four students were honored at the breakfast, formally receiving certificates for completing all four levels of the program.
