Twelve teams took part in the 3v3 Live Soccer Tournament Saturday morning in the parking lot of Plant City Stadium.
The 3v3 Live is a national soccer tour with over 120 events annually. Teams that participate in a 3v3 Live local event qualify for the Open division at the 3v3 Soccer World Championships at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex Jan. 17-20, 2014.
The Plant City tournament featured 12 teams ranging from U8 to high school boys and girls divisions. The games consists of two halves with three players on the field for each team at a time on a smaller field, creating a fast-paced and sometimes high scoring game.
All 3v3 participants received a free ticket to Saturday’s VSI Tampa Bay FC’s PRO match against the Charleston Battery at 7:30 p.m., as well at the PDL match earlier in the day.
