Whispering Woods residents pulled together to put on a neighborhood-wide yard sale and celebrated afterward with a BBQ blowout.
Neighbors gathered at the model home of the new development off East Alexander Street to eat and socialize.
Paula Meyers organized the community event. Her husband, Brent, smoked several rounds of BBQ chicken with homemade sauce that turned out to be a popular dish.
Many of the neighborhood kids played after they munched on donuts and cookies.
