Nearly 150 girls participated in the first Blueberry Festival Pageant April 13, at Keel and Curley Winery.
Julia Jordan Williams was crowned the first Blueberry Queen. The 19-year-old is a student at Hillsborough Community College. She enjoys running, shopping, kickboxing and mentoring her younger cousin in cheerleading and pageant competitions.
The girls were broken into seven age groups and court members, first maids and queens were named in each age division. This is the first year the Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival — which is celebrating its sixth year — has held a pageant.
The Queens and Court of each age group will be formally introduced during the 2013 Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival at 5 p.m. April 27, at Keel and Curley Winery.
