Comedy for a Cure, sponsored by the Tooth Caboose and hosted at First Baptist Church of Midway, was held Friday, March 27, to raise money for Relay for Life. First, guests had time to socialize and make donations through the purchase of concessions, t-shirts and luminarias. But the highlight of the evening was a comedic variety show in the church auditorium.
The show began with an hour of energetic improv. Then, Benji Padgett played piano and sang, and BasRocks led the crowd in a freestyle dance party. The improv team returned for another round, and the night closed with a performance by Charizma Dunphy.
