Crocheted animals, jewelry and other knickknacks and collectibles filled tables for Candy Cane Lane Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, at Grace United Methodist Church.
The church, located off Cherry Street across from the Hillsborough Community College Plant City campus, has held the event for more than 30 years. Some items are donated to be sold, while others are made by members of the church.
Proceeds benefit the women’s group of Grace United Methodist, which provides backpacks to students in need at the beginning of the school year and the United Methodist Children’s Home.
Grace United Methodist Church holds a worship service at 10 a.m. Sundays. A special Christmas Eve service will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.
