Jarrett-Scott Ford took the wheel to help Durant High School Oct. 6.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. everything from Jarrett-Scott Ford SUVs, to trucks and even a bright blue Mustang were parked outside Durant ready for a test drive. With every test drive, Ford Motor Company gave the school $20 and with a second test drive in an Escape, Ford gave Durant an extra $10.
The dealership wanted to raise as much as $8,000 for the high school.
Although the cheerleaders might have been tired from last night’s football game, they were all smiles, signing up drivers. Members from the boys basketball team also were present to wash cars and sell pizza and drinks. Nine Jarrett-Scott employees were around to help.
The event was part of Ford’s Drive One 4UR School fundraising event. This is the third time Jarrett-Scott Ford has partnered with Durant for the event.
“We have a lot of fun with it,” Jim Scott said. “This does two things: gives people the opportunity to try out a Ford and hopefully buy a Ford and helps out the school.”
